These saddles
carry a saddle tree and parts warranty of 5 years. Crates saddles are the
product of three generations of the Crates family and over a half century of
saddle making. They are constructed of premium quality cow and steer hide
known as "saddle skirting leather", tanned specifically for the product.
The "heart" of the saddle, the saddle tree, is made by American craftsmen of
rawhide covered treated wood, "Equi-Fit" fiberglass-covered treated wood, or
injection-molded "Ralide" polyethylene. These trees are produced by
American professionals in design-tested forms to fit a broad range of horse
breeds. The typical western saddle utilizes many different materials:
leather, wood, stainless steel, brass, silver trim. a crates saddle uses
prime leather, stainless hardware and other top quality components.
